Job Description:
The Parsons X PMIS team is seeking a talented Software Developer I – Full Stack to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge as a software developer while working alongside excellent mentors in a collaborative environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Software Developer I, you will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, with a primary focus on web-based solutions. You will collaborate closely with product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to help deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable applications.
Responsibilities
- Participate in application development activities, including designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications.
- Collaborate with the product team to translate business and user needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development efforts.
- Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces and support server-side application logic.
- Help implement and maintain security features and follow secure coding practices.
- Work with technologies such as NodeJS, .NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python.
- Engage with modern frameworks and platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, Blazor, React, or Angular."
- Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, solve technical problems, and support continuous improvement.
- Adhere to best coding practices, development standards, and version control processes.
- Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and mentorship opportunities to grow technical capability and delivery quality.
What Qualifications You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Experience with server-side programming languages.
- Proficiency with one or more server-side languages such as C#, Java, NodeJS, or Python.
- Experience with the Microsoft .NET Platform for desktop and web application development.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and construct effective solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self-driven, motivated, and eager to learn.
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies, tools, and team needs.
- Familiarity with version control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to modern front-end frameworks such as Blazor, React or Angular."
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience working in collaborative Agile or product-focused development environments.
Education and Typical Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- (NOTE: Newly-hired MS graduates are typically hired into this level.)
- 2+ years of related professional experience.
