Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Full Stack Developer. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing leadership necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting design/development. The place of performance for this contract is in Washington, DC and is NOT remote.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test a web-based application.
- Edit site content for various components.
- Maintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines.
- Utilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Proficient in React.js and NodeJS.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience building and working with RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD, Jenkins, Gitlab-CI.
- Knowledge of image authoring tools, ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Basic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experience working with open source software.
- Experience with TypeScript (Intermediate).
- Experience with Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) (Intermediate).
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) (Intermediate).
- Experience with React.js (Advanced).
- Experience with Node.js (Advanced).
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to work independently.
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in working with relational databases (Postgres and MySQL preferred).
- Experience with AWS containerization.
- Experience working with a content management system such as Drupal to create, manage, and theme content.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environment.
- 508 compliance development.
