White Oak Medical Center's Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Tech in Silver Spring, MD. We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Pharmacy Technician you will:
• Prepares and delivers medication to Pyxis
• Maintains an accurate inventory of medications and supplies by performing inventory management cycle counts and Pyxis unit inspections with electronic documentation
• Assesses need for and prepacks oral and solid medications for dispensing
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications Include:
• High school diploma or GED/equivalent
• Graduation from an ASHP accredited or PTCB recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program preferred.
• Preferred: 1 year of pharmacy experience
• Preferred: Previous experience with Cerner, Pyxis, Pharmogistics, Carousels.
• Required: Licensure as Pharmacy Technician by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
• Preferred: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Work Schedule:

This is a per diem position with a rate of $28/hour.

• Employment Type: Per Diem

• Hours per Week: 8 hrs./week

• Typical Daily Schedule: 8 hour shifts Rotating Day shifts, Weekends, and Over night shifts

• Shift Type: Rotating Day, Evening, Nights and Weekends.

• Weekend Requirements: Required every other weekend rotation

• Holiday Requirements: Required Follow company holiday calendar

• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range:

If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
