Employee Relations Specialist
Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

What you will do:
Manage employee relations cases from intake through resolution, ensuring timely, consistent, and compliant outcomes across a variety of workplace matters.
Conduct and support workplace investigations, including fact-finding, interviews, evidence review, and documentation of findings.
Partner with HR Business Partners, managers, Legal, and Ethics & Compliance to assess risk, resolve issues, and align on appropriate outcomes.
Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on employee relations processes, policies, disciplinary matters, and workplace concerns.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready case documentation while ensuring adherence to established governance standards and procedures.
Identify trends, risks, and recurring workplace themes through case analysis and contribute insights that support proactive people strategies.
Support operational excellence by contributing to process improvements, reporting initiatives, and the adoption of ER technologies and AI-enabled tools.
What we are looking for:
Proficient experience in Employee Relations, HR investigations or a related field supporting U.S.-based employee populations.
Hands-on experience managing employee relations cases and supporting workplace investigations from intake through resolution.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations, including EEO, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and retaliation-related matters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations.
Experience working with HR case management systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, or similar platforms is preferred.
Experience in a multinational, matrixed, or shared services environment is strongly preferred, along with a commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field.
