Are you someone who can:
· Navigate a complex payments environment, working with others to deliver solutions that meet business, regulatory and scheme requirements, while keeping systems stable and dependable.
· Collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups, including architects, developers, operations teams, Business teams, scheme representatives, SMEs and project managers, to ensure aligned and effective delivery of payment capabilities.
· Maintain deep domain expertise in payments (including legislative requirements, scheme rules and industry practices), translating changes into actionable product and platform impacts.
· Translate strategic direction into executable outcomes, driving initiatives and projects that enable capability uplift, platform scalability and improved customer and operational outcomes.
· Define and document high-quality requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness and alignment to both business intent and technical implementation, while managing risk and audit considerations.
· Analyse data and operational performance, identifying trends, issues and opportunities to improve payment flows, reduce failure points and enhance system efficiency.
· Engage with industry developments, including local and international payment trends, to ensure our platforms remain competitive, compliant and future-fit.
· Drive continuous improvement of payment capabilities, including processes, integration points and services, rather than purely customer-facing features.
· Operate effectively in a delivery-focused environment, balancing multiple priorities, dependencies and stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
· Take ownership of your own development, building deeper expertise in payments, platform thinking and product capability management.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have:
· Matric/Grade 12 - Required
· 3 Year industry related degree – Preferred
· 6 - 8 Years banking experience and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role
· Proven stakeholder management experience
