Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Financial Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located at Roy, UT to support the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis on Sentinel risk and opportunities – serve as a liaison between the risk and opportunities team and the segments to ensure thoroughness of analysis, review risk and opportunities for executability, cross check ARM ( Active Risk Manager ) - IMS ( Integrated Master Schedule ) inputs for accuracy
- Conduct s-curve analysis utilizing updated risks and opportunities and the PMB (Performance Measurement Baseline)
- Business case modeling to assist in negotiations – this analysis will continue to support future new business/ investment decisions post- Omni-Mod (Omnibus Modification)
- Conduct analysis between all risk informed artifacts for consistency and integration as applicable (S-Curve, SRAs, business case)
- Collaborate across organizations and functions to compile and research all necessary data to complete financial models to support leadership reviews, proposals, what-if analysis, etc.
- Provide clear expectations to other functions to gather necessary inputs to complete analyses in a timely manner
- Proactively present progress, outcomes, and recommendations to various levels of leadership
- Additional support to pricing, proposal activities, and contract negotiations
- Support of internal and external audits
- Work independently to balance multiple projects and prioritize while delivering first time accuracy on-time
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree with 8 years experience in Business, Aerospace and Defense, or related professional experience; Masters degree with 6 years experience ; 4 years experience with PhD.
- Experience in financial analysis and reporting, including preparing in‑depth customer presentations and reviewing, analyzing, and critiquing financial statements and investor materials
- Experience with Advanced financial modeling
- Microsoft Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
- Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
- Defense industry experience
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
- Program Cost Control experience
- Experience with FAR/DFAR
- Experience with Cobra and/or Primavera
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision
- Ability to perform complex research, prepare final review materials

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
