About the Role

Cato Networks is the first company to converge enterprise networking and security into one centralized and global service that is delivered by cloud. It is led by networking and security pioneer Shlomo Kramer (Check Point, Imperva) and early investor (Palo Alto Networks, Exabeam, Trusteer and more). Cato’s unique technology inspired a brand-new product category, later named “SASE” by Gartner and a market expected to reach $28.5 billion by 2028.

This is your opportunity to get on the rocket ship and join a company that is building a cutting-edge enterprise network and secure cloud platform, and is on a fast track to becoming the worldwide market leader – don’t miss it!

We are looking for an experienced IT System Engineer to join our global IT team.

In this role, you will take ownership of critical enterprise infrastructure across cloud, identity, networking, virtualization, and SaaS environments. You will work closely with Security, DevOps, Engineering, and IT teams to build secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure while driving automation and operational excellence.

We are looking for someone who combines strong hands-on technical skills with a systems mindset — someone who can troubleshoot complex issues, automate repetitive work, improve existing architecture, and lead infrastructure initiatives from design through production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve cloud infrastructure, primarily in AWS, with exposure to Azure, GCP, and other cloud platforms.
  • Own identity and access management across cloud and SaaS environments, including Entra ID, SSO, IAM, RBAC, and user lifecycle processes.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, VMware, networking, and other core enterprise infrastructure.
  • Automate operational and administrative tasks using Python, PowerShell, APIs, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted tools.
  • Use AI effectively for scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, analysis, and improving IT operational workflows.
  • Manage enterprise endpoints and device compliance using Kandji and Microsoft Intune.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, cloud, identity, and connectivity issues and act as an escalation point for the IT team.
  • Partner with Security and Engineering teams to improve access controls, infrastructure security, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Proactively improve reliability, scalability, documentation, and operational processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Systems Engineering, IT Infrastructure, or Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with AWS and enterprise cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, IAM, SSO, and identity federation.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Strong practical experience using AI tools to accelerate scripting, troubleshooting, research, documentation, and IT automation, with an understanding of how to validate AI-generated output and use it securely.
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MDM and endpoint management, including both Kandji and Microsoft Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi.
  • Experience with APIs and automation tools; Terraform experience is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently own complex technical issues.
  • Self-driven, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced global environment.

Personal Attributes

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Self-starter with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Adaptable and thrives in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently under pressure.

Why Join Cato Networks?

Be part of a transformative cloud-native company that’s reshaping secure networking. We’re scaling rapidly and offer a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a global, mission-driven environment.
