As a Security Officer Access Credential Validation in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and help maintain a secure environment for visitors and personnel. - Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government airport location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, and control entry to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels.
- Document visitor activity, access-control events, and irregularities in required logs and reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
