Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Insurance Account Manager to manage and support a portfolio of middle-market commercial insurance accounts. This role is ideal for a client-focused insurance professional with strong coverage knowledge, relationship management skills, and the ability to provide strategic risk management and insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise and consult clients regarding commercial insurance coverage needs and risk management strategies.

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance accounts and coordinate account servicing activities.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships while partnering with sales and service teams to support client retention and account growth.

• Review policies, endorsements, proposals, and other insurance documents for accuracy and completeness.

• Oversee the marketing and quoting of new and renewal business.

• Evaluate coverage options and work with insurance carriers to secure appropriate terms for clients.

• Coordinate account workflows and delegate responsibilities as appropriate.

• Develop and maintain productive relationships with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.

• Support special projects and collaborate with commercial lines leadership on departmental initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and complete client and policy information within agency management software.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial insurance account management experience within an agency environment, preferably supporting middle-market accounts.

• Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.

• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk mitigation strategies.

• Experience reviewing policies, endorsements, proposals, and related insurance documentation.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to effectively coordinate and delegate account servicing responsibilities.

• Experience with EPIC or similar agency management software.

• Strong mathematical, technical, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to develop strong client and carrier relationships.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 + bonus opportunities
