Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Mechanical Assemblers for projects located in the Denver, CO area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $20-28/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies used in electrical power distribution equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical drawings, and layout instructions
- Work with materials including:
- Sheet metal
- Structural steel
- Cable tray
- Mechanical framing
- Electrical equipment enclosures
- Measure, align, fit, and fasten components accurately
- Drill and tap electrical equipment and structural components
- Support assembly of equipment including:
- Low- and medium-voltage MCCs
- Switchgear
- UPS systems
- Power distribution assemblies
- Custom modular equipment
- Use hand tools, power tools, drills, taps, grinders, and measuring equipment
- Perform layout and fitting based on drawings and templates
- Inspect completed parts and assemblies for fit, quality, and defects
- Repair or replace defective components when necessary
- Assist with prototype builds and custom fabrication projects
- Support process improvements and new assembly methods
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Requirements
- Experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, or similar lifting equipment is preferred
