Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler with experience building, installing, and assembling mechanical components on heavy equipment, machinery, or custom-built products. The ideal candidate has experience using hand and power tools, reading work instructions and mechanical drawings, and working with mechanical systems. This role focuses on custom assembly and equipment builds rather than repetitive production-line assembly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components.
- Install, torque, and secure bolts, hydraulic hoses, fittings, and related components.
- Read and follow blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
- Safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and assembly issues as needed.
- Maintain quality, safety, and workmanship standards throughout the build process.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and build goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of mechanical assembly, equipment installation, machinery build, maintenance, or repair experience.
- Experience assembling, installing, servicing, or repairing heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, or similar products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, mechanical drawings, and work instructions.
- Hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and related assembly equipment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems, including hoses, fittings, fasteners, and components.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot assembly issues and make adjustments to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and various positions, including standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
