Your Opportunity: Taylor is seeking Press Print Operating Technician IV; you will be responsible for responsible for managing and optimizing advanced printing operations. This position requires extensive knowledge of printing technologies, the ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and the skills to mentor and lead a team of technicians while ensuring high-quality output and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities: 

• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of multiple types of printing presses, ensuring optimal production efficiency and quality. 

• Develop and implement production schedules, monitoring workflow to meet deadlines and customer expectations. 

• Reviews proposed production schedule and suggests improvements to productivity based on construction of upcoming work. 

• Analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to enhance performance. 

• Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards, conducting in-depth inspections and assessments throughout the printing process. 

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address defects and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 

• Prepare detailed reports on quality issues and production outcomes for management review. 

• Lead training programs for new and existing staff on advanced printing techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols. 

• Mentor junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development within the team. 

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on complex printing machinery, coordinating with maintenance teams for any major issues. 

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment maintenance, production activities, and incident reports. 

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, promoting a safe work environment. 

• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to reinforce safety practices among team members. 

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including prepress, design, and logistics, to enhance communication and streamline processes. 

• Provide strategic insights and recommendations for technology investments and process innovations to enhance overall operational effectiveness. 

• Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking. 

• Acting SME coordinating with leadership and sales team to provide suggestions for incoming or prospective customer orders. 

Your Shift: 6:00pm - 6:00am Sunday through Tuesday

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

You Must Have: 

• A technical degree or certification in printing technology or a related field is preferred. 

• In-depth knowledge of various printing techniques, equipment, and materials. 

• Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions. 

• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry) 

• Willingness to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks. 

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $39.00. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The rate listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
