About the Role
As a Supervisor in our Specialty Pharmacy division, you’ll oversee operations that dispense specialty medications—high-cost drugs requiring special handling, ongoing patient support, and monitoring for rare, complex, or chronic conditions.
Our Specialty Pharmacies feature:
- Accreditation and advanced capabilities for specialty medications
- A mail-order facility and patient call center
- Expert pharmacists and technicians providing education, follow-up, and prior authorization assistance
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed pharmacy technician with strong operational knowledge
- Experience in Specialty Pharmacy (preferred)
- Collaborative leadership style and commitment to patient care
Scope of work
Maintains accountability for the supervision and operation of a specific area of expertise. Promotes team efforts to manage and achieve departmental objectives. Coordinates process improvement activities, resolves human capital issues, and assists with program development in area of accountability. Works with multiple medication automation systems. Ensures department and personnel compliance with current regulations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent Required.
- Two years of relevant pharmacy (senior, lead or supervisory) experience Required.
- 2 years of relevant CPhT experience in a hospital pharmacy Preferred.
- MI Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) Required.
