This position starts at $21.85/hr. with a shift increase for second shift and third shift with potential for overtime. There is potential to progress quickly within levels based on completed training and demonstrated skills on the job. We have an open position for 2ND shift. Leveling (pay) is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.
Position Description:
This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets and any other equipment while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Troubleshoot facility and equipment problems that occur in the day- to-day operations. Perform work that involves hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/CD control wiring, welding, and pneumatic systems. Set up, adjust, and break down production machinery. Preform scheduled preventative maintenance duties. Read and understand equipment manuals and instructions. Complete daily reports and paperwork.
Requirements:
- MUST SUBMIT A RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED.
- Must be out of probation period.
- No written warnings or suspensions in the last 6 months
- Selected candidate will be given a 2-week trial period.
- Must not have more than 4.0 attendance points.
- Selected candidate must maintain 4.0 points or less prior to transferring into job.
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic repair preferred.
- Must have a minimum work history of 12 consecutive months in maintenance related field.
- Must be able and willing to complete work without direct supervision and be able to manage time.
- Must be able and willing to serve as a member of the Emergency Response and Intermediate Fire Fighting Teams.
- Must be able and willing to complete required documentation daily.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing to work in a changing environment.
- Must be able and willing to lift to 50 pounds frequently.
- Must be willing and able to stand and walk the entire shift.
- Must be willing and able to work 8 - 12 hour shifts.
- Must be willing and able to reach with hands and arms; climb; stoop or bend.
- Must be willing and able to work near moving mechanical parts.
- Must be willing and able to work in non-weather humidity, cold, and heat.
- Work environments are wet and humid. Temperatures range from 35 to 90+ degrees.
- Must be willing and able to climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, stand, and walk on hard floors and occasional lift of 60 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to work Sundays and overtime as scheduled.
