The ideal candidate will have warehouse or high-volume operations experience and at least two years of supervisory experience. You will spend much of your shift in the work area-training employees, monitoring performance, addressing safety concerns, checking work quality, and helping the team meet daily customer requirements.
What You Will Do
Direct and support associates performing vehicle shuttle functions
Maintain a safe work environment and address unsafe conditions immediately
Ensure compliance with company, customer, OSHA, EPA, FRA, and DOT requirements
Conduct safety training and reinforce proper work practices
Report and document accidents, injuries, and equipment damage promptly
Train employees on job responsibilities, work instructions, quality procedures, and site SOPs
Monitor attendance, productivity, work quality, and employee performance
Motivate the team to meet operational and production goals safely
Maintain staffing and operational readiness throughout the night shift
Investigate service or equipment issues and help prevent repeat occurrences
Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and workflow
Communicate clearly with associates, management, and the customer
Treat employees fairly and respectfully while consistently enforcing company policies
What We Are Looking For
Warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational experience required
At least two years of supervisory or team-lead experience
Experience training, coaching, and holding employees accountable
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
Comfortable leading employees in an outdoor, fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and internet-based systems
Ability to manage several priorities and make sound decisions independently
Valid state driver's license when required to operate company equipment
Ability to satisfy all applicable conditions-of-employment requirements
Availability to work the assigned night-shift schedule
Physical and Work Environment
This position requires the ability to:
Work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, and noisy conditions
Walk and stand for extended periods on uneven surfaces
Bend, twist, crouch, and perform other active movements throughout the shift
Occasionally lift up to 60 pounds, including above shoulder level
Hear and follow verbal safety instructions
Communicate by telephone and two-way radio
Enter, review, and update information using a computer
Properly wear all required personal protective equipment
Leadership That Stays Close to the Work
We believe strong supervisors understand the daily challenges their employees face. This position requires an out-front leadership style-being present in the operation, working alongside the team when appropriate, providing real-time coaching, and building a workplace centered on safety, quality, respect, and accountability.
