Description
We are currently looking to expand our AIFM team in Luxembourg and searching for a motivated and detail oriented AML/CTF Analyst / Associate to join our Compliance function, who is eager to learn and grow within the compliance and regulatory space.
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and client-facing environment. You will work closely with senior members of the Compliance team, supporting key regulatory and operational tasks while developing essential skills in communication, teamwork, and analytical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Request, follow up, collect, and analyse KYC documentation of clients for the performance of first-level screening and the risk ratings in line with the company’s internal policies, procedures and risk appetite.
- Support the onboarding of new clients in accordance with AML/CTF/CPF procedures.
- Monitor existing clients and service providers, including the review of due diligence profiles, risk assessments, identification documents and other documents as appropriate, as well as the daily screening in line with applicable procedures.
- Set up and store all KYC documentation in relevant systems, filing and archiving.
- Participate in periodic reviews of the client base, obtaining updated documentation as required in line with the RBA.
- Monitor transactions in relation to AML/CTF/CPF procedures, including asset and counterparty screening.
- Participate in clients' calls on AML/CFT/CPF-related matters with the support of more experienced team members.
- Ensure proper and continuous communication with the team and across functions.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of changes in industry laws and regulations related to AML/CFT/CPF.
- Execute ad hoc tasks from time to time.
Technical Knowledge / Skills Required
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the Luxembourg AML/CFT/CPF environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and an inquisitive mind-set.
- Problem solving, hands-on approach.
- Ability to plan effectively, with strong deadline orientation.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Strong team player and ability to work harmoniously within a diverse team.
- Strong MS Office/Excel skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English is essential, any other language is considered an asset.
- Interest in IT / SFDR related topics considered as an asset.
Minimum Education, Qualifications and Working Experience
- BSc / MSc in Law, Finance or Management.
- Experience in AML/CFT/CPF or compliance within the financial industry or within a consulting / audit firm is an advantage.
