Here's a Glimpse of the Job
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be involved in developing deep learning architecture for multi-object data integration, federated learning approaches for high-dimensional dependent data, and data sketching approaches for massive data.
Opportunities to Contribute:
Develop statistical/machine learning methodology for multi-modal imaging data integration.
Collaborate with neuroscientists from UC San Francisco Medical School, share results, and receive scientific inputs from them through weekly online meetings.
Develop statistical theory to rigorously establish validity of the proposed methodology.
Analyze multi-modal neuroimaging datasets provided by the UCSF scientists (e.g., Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development Data) and summarize results by publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Attend conferences to disseminate the ideas.
Share the Python codes in a well-maintained GitHub repository for public use.
Make R or Python package for widespread use of the methods.
May assist, mentor, and/or supervise student researchers and/or graduate students who are working on research related to the project.
Qualifications
PhD in statistics, economics or related field.
A well-qualified candidate may also possess:
Data analysis, statistical methodology and computing
Salary: $56,000.00 annually
Special Note: This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding, which is renewed through provisions of the grantor of the contract. Therefore, this position is contingent upon continuation of funding from these grants and/or contracts, as well as satisfactory job performance .
