This role plays an important part in keeping daily operations running smoothly by coordinating staff schedules and assignments, managing staff call-outs, and supporting orientation schedules for new team members. You’ll work closely with leadership and clinical staff to make sure the right coverage is in place and employees have the support they need.
CNAs are encouraged to apply, especially those who understand the pace and staffing needs of an inpatient environment and are interested in growing into a staffing, coordination, or administrative role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate and maintain staff schedules and daily assignments for the assigned area.
- Manage staff call-outs and work with leadership to identify appropriate coverage.
- Coordinate orientation schedules and help ensure new team members are scheduled for the appropriate training and department orientation.
- Adjust staffing based on patient census, workload, acuity, and department needs.
- Serve as a primary resource for staffing and scheduling systems.
- Partner closely with department leadership to determine staffing needs and priorities.
- Track staffing trends including sick calls, turnover, coverage needs, and other key metrics.
- Maintain accurate staffing records, reports, and scheduling information.
- Support training, implementation, and maintenance of department systems and processes.
- Help identify opportunities to improve staffing efficiency and continuity.
- Provide professional support to leadership and staff while helping daily operations run smoothly.
Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
- Related coursework beyond high school.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
- Experience working with complex administrative support tasks.
Preferred:
- Inpatient staffing and scheduling experience.
- CNA or other direct patient care experience.
- Experience coordinating staff schedules, assignments, call-outs, or orientation.
- API Staffing & Scheduling and Meditech experience.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional systems as needed.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
