Position OverviewWe are looking for a Graduate Engineering Trainee – Data who demonstrates strong analytical thinking, solid engineering fundamentals, and a genuine drive for continuous learning. This role is designed for individuals eager to work with data platforms, reporting, analytics, and enterprise data solutions while building expertise across the data lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings foundational knowledge in databases, programming, data analysis, and problem-solving, along with the interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional business and technology teams.
Mandatory Skills
- Demonstrated understanding of database fundamentals, SQL concepts, and data modelling basics
- Basic working knowledge of data analysis, data cleansing, and data validation techniques
- Foundational programming knowledge in Python, SQL, or any modern programming language
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking ability, with evidence of structured analytical approach
- Understanding of data lifecycle concepts including data collection, transformation, storage, reporting, and governance
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms
- Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, or cloud-based data platforms
- Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data exchange formats such as JSON or CSV
- Awareness of software quality, testing, and documentation fundamentals for data solutions
- Working knowledge or interest in AI, machine learning fundamentals, prompt engineering, and responsible use of data-driven technologies

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline
- Strong foundational knowledge of databases, SQL, programming fundamentals, and analytical thinking
- Familiarity with data analysis, reporting, and basic data visualization concepts
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to work collaboratively in team settings
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to learn and adapt
No prior professional experience required; internship, academic project, or certification exposure in data, analytics, or cloud platforms is an advantage
