Description

Description

At Blend Supply, the Shipping & Receiving Specialist is where precision meets pride. You’re the person who makes sure aerospace and industrial customers get exactly what they ordered, exactly when they need it, with paperwork and quality that hold up to the highest standards in the business. This isn’t “box in, box out.” You’ll own the flow of product through the warehouse for our contract accounts, cross-train across the operation, and have a direct hand in building processes that make the whole team better.

We’re a family-owned company that takes AS9100 aerospace quality seriously and takes care of the people who deliver it. In fact, our employees have voted Blend a Great Place to Work three years running. If you take ownership of your work, like variety in your day, and want to grow your skills, you’ll fit here.

What Blend offers

  • Great Place to Work — certified three years in a row, voted by our own employees. That recognition comes from the people who work here, not from us.
  • Paid time off that starts on day one: you accrue 15 days of PTO in your first year.
  • 10 paid holidays each year.
  • A family-owned culture where your ideas are heard and ownership is genuinely valued.

We work with the best tools—including AI

Blend is fully on board with modern technology, and that includes AI. We actively use AI applications like Claude to help our team work smarter—handling the busywork so our people can focus on customers, thinking, and the judgment calls that matter. If you're curious about new tools and excited to work somewhere that gives you a real edge instead of holding you back, you'll fit right in.

Requirements

What you’ll do

You’ll pick, pack, and ship customer orders using our TMS, P21, and related systems, and receive incoming shipments into the ERP for your assigned warehouse. You’ll keep stock accurate through cycle counting and keep the warehouse neat, organized, and running smoothly.

Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll have real ownership:

  • Make sure every shipment goes out with the right paperwork and labels, every time.
  • Redesign, launch, and run our Return Material (RMA) process—tracking stocking levels, flagging overstock and slow-moving inventory, and coordinating returns back to manufacturers.
  • Partner with our Quality team on processes, communication, and workflow to get the best results for Blend clients.
  • Spot discrepancies and issues early, raise what the team needs, research better tools and methods, and bring forward strategies that make us sharper.
  • Cross-train across other areas of the operation—we want people who like to learn and pitch in.

Everything you do is done with the client in mind. We aim for a world-class customer experience, and this role is a big part of delivering it.

Quality leadership (AS9100)

You’ll know, uphold, and help lead Blend’s AS9100 compliance—understanding the why behind our processes and behaviors, using the customer complaint log, logging non-conformances, spotting where corrective action is needed, and helping us continuously improve. This is a role where doing it right actually counts.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone dependable, organized, and genuinely good with people—able to communicate clearly, solve problems calmly (even under pressure), and keep both the team and the customer moving forward. You should be comfortable with numbers and analysis, safety-minded, and able to see and match color accurately, including matching coating samples.

The competencies that make people successful here:

  • Safety & Security — Follows safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials properly, and speaks up about unsafe conditions.
  • Planning & Organizing — Prioritizes, uses time well, plans for the resources a job needs, and builds realistic action plans.
  • Problem Solving — Identifies and resolves problems quickly, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops solutions, works well in group problem-solving, and keeps a level head on emotional topics.
  • Teamwork — Balances team and individual responsibilities, stays open to others’ views, gives and welcomes feedback, and puts the team’s success first.
  • Communication (oral & written) — Speaks clearly and persuasively, listens and asks good questions, and writes clearly for the audience; reads and interprets written information accurately.
  • Business Acumen — Understands the business impact of decisions, keeps an eye on profitability, and aligns work with our goals.
  • Customer Service — Responds promptly to customer needs, handles difficult situations with empathy, seeks feedback, and meets commitments.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree a plus.
  • Experience in industry distribution; roughly four to five years in the workforce with a track record of strong annual reviews.
  • ERP experience and knowledge preferred (Prophet 21 a plus).
  • Transportation Management System (TMS) experience.
  • Forklift certified for unloading incoming shipments (or willing and able to certify).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Solid math and analytical ability.
  • Color vision, including the ability to match coating samples.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards preferred.
  • Knowledge of CFR 49 preferred.
  • A positive, productive, and motivating attitude.

Computer skills: Comfortable with internet software, Excel, an inventory/order processing system (Prophet 21), Word, email, presentation software, and Microsoft 365.

The physical side of the job

We want to be upfront about what the work involves so it’s the right fit for you.

While performing this job, you’ll regularly use your hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. You’ll frequently sit, and occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision requirements include color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

You’ll regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Work environment: Expect intermittent periods of continuous physical activity—walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. You’ll occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.

Ready to own it?

If you’re looking for a warehouse role where accuracy is respected, cross-training is encouraged, and your ideas actually go somewhere, we’d like to hear from you. Come help Blend deliver world-class service to the aerospace and industrial customers who count on us.
