Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer – Electrical / I&C to ensure strict adherence to quality standards and specifications across electrical and instrumentation works for industrial and infrastructure projects. The role involves quality assurance, inspection, and documentation for electrical systems including Transformers, GIS Switchgears, LV/HT Panels, Cable Laying Works, Busducts, Sensors, CCTV, and other ELV and Instrumentation Systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in electrical standards and hands-on experience with both on-site and off-site quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for all electrical and I&C systems.
- Conduct inspection and testing of Transformers, GIS Switchgears, HT/LT Panels, Busducts, and associated electrical systems to ensure compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, and standards.
- Supervise and verify cable laying, termination, glanding, and insulation testing as per standard procedures.
- Ensure quality checks for ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, PA System, Fire Alarm System, and Instrumentation Sensors.
- Review and validate test reports, inspection test plans (ITPs), FAT/SAT documentation, and quality dossiers.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and third-party quality control agencies for quality audits and inspections.
- Ensure adherence to relevant IEC, IS, IEEE, and other international electrical standards.
- Identify non-conformities, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support commissioning and pre-commissioning quality activities for electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Maintain all quality-related documentation, inspection records, and progress reports for audits and client review.
Have knowledge on AGENTIC AI used in the work.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control for Electrical and I&C packages in industrial or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgears (AIS/GIS), busducts, LV/HT panels, and cable management systems.
- Experience in ELV systems, instrumentation sensors, and control systems.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and control schematics.
- Familiarity with IEC, IS, IEEE, and other electrical/instrumentation standards.
- Hands-on experience with FAT, SAT, and field inspection protocols.
- Experience with third-party Quality Control agencies will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills.
