Description
Project Planner / Planning Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Project Planner / Planning Engineer to support the successful planning, scheduling, monitoring and control of projects from initiation through to completion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress against approved baselines, identifying schedule risks and delays, and providing accurate planning information to the Project Management team and key stakeholders.
Experience in offshore oil and gas projects and, in particular, rig or vessel reactivation projects is highly advantageous. Candidates with experience in reactivation, refurbishment, mobilisation, maintenance, upgrades, commissioning or shipyard projects will be strongly considered.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Project Planner / Planning Engineer who can independently manage project schedules, challenge progress information, identify potential delays and provide clear planning data to support project management decisions.
Experience across international EPC and major construction/energy projects, together with strong planning and project controls experience and the ability to work across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities, would be highly valued.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in project planning and scheduling.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with Oracle, Chief Estimator, AutoCAD and SAP would be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of project controls, progress monitoring, critical path, milestones and schedule reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Fluent English is essential.
- Additional languages would be considered an advantage.
