About the Hovås Site
The RaySafe facility in Hovås, Gothenburg, serves as one of the company's key operational locations. The site houses customer service, service operations, quality functions, production, logistics, engineering, and global support teams. It is also home to the RaySafe Service Center, where customer equipment from around the world is received, serviced, calibrated, repaired, and returned to customers.
Position Summary
We are looking for a student worker to support our Service Operations and Customer Service teams, primarily within the Service Arrival Desk function.
The role focuses on receiving customer-owned equipment arriving for service, ensuring proper registration, traceability, storage, and handover within our service process. The position plays an important role in maintaining efficient service operations while safeguarding customer property and supporting quality requirements.
This role provides excellent insight into international operations, customer service, logistics, quality systems, and service processes within a global medical technology organization.
Primary Responsibilities Service Arrival Desk
- Receive incoming customer service shipments
- Open and inspect incoming cases and packages
- Verify equipment, accessories, and documentation
- Identify incomplete or non-conforming arrivals
- Route exceptions for investigation
Customer Property Handling
- Handle customer property with care and professionalism
- Store customer property according to established procedures
- Maintain traceability of customer equipment and accessories
- Ensure customer information is handled confidentially
- Assist in investigations related to missing or damaged property
Oracle & System Transactions
- Receive RMAs in Oracle
- Verify serial numbers and product information
- Register service orders and service intake activities
- Maintain accurate records in service management systems
- Support order and case administration activities
Service Process Support
- Print and apply service identification labels
- Prepare equipment for laboratory processing
- Coordinate handover of equipment to service technicians
- Support storage and retrieval of customer property
- Assist in service workflow administration
Operational Support
- Support Customer Service and Operations teams as required
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient workplace
Qualifications Required
- Currently enrolled in higher education studies
- Minimum two years of expected remaining studies preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Comfortable working with computer systems
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently after training
Preferred
- Experience from logistics, warehouse, retail, administration, or customer service
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Interest in technical products and operational processes
