Summary:
The Inventory Coordinator is an experienced and detail-oriented professional who’s primary function is to review Inventory data and process Returns. They will be responsible for identifying issues as well as taking the appropriate steps to resolve potential problems. They will work closely with Sales and Customer Service to understand inventory performance and help ensure optimal stocking levels. This role requires attention to detail and clear communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze SKU level inventory performance, identifying current or future issues.
- Manage Inventory reporting for Customer Service, Sales, and Management.
- Create and manage Vendor Returns, working with Operations to ensure timely processing.
- Work cross-functionally with the Purchasing Manager and Buyers to review and optimize stock settings for all locations based on changes in item lead time and/or demand.
- Manage and track supplier return policies, using that information to inform necessary actions regarding existing inventory and new setups.
- Manage and track Customer specific inventory agreements, keeping all relevant internal teams up to date and providing timely, actionable data to resolve issues.
- Provide support to the company achieving yearly Turns goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, analysis, or supply chain functions within an industrial distribution, manufacturing, or technical sales environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain best practices, inventory performance, and the industrial supply channel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
