Position Summary 

This position is responsible for the analyzing, planning, and reviewing of the production schedule and monitoring of material movement in production cycle to ensure continuous operations, as well as inventory control and accuracy. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Schedule and coordinate production activities based on customer orders 

  • Process all transactions in company systems in an accurate and timely manner 

  • Plans, reviews, releases, and stages material to shop order to maintain inventory accuracy 

  • Maintains and monitors information cross-functionally department to better understand competitive lead times for scheduled items 

  • Develop a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure optimal production schedule stability, order creation, etc. 

  • Locate, solve, and correct problems within the department and communicate changes cross-functionally 

  • Expedite or remove orders as necessary 

  • Cross-functionally communicates upcoming schedule obstacles, availability, and constraints, along with possible solutions 

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 

  • Familiar with current technology concepts, practices, and procedures 

  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 

  • 1-3 years of Production control experience(Manufacturing/Automotive/Aerospace) 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams. 

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 

 

REASONING ABILITY 

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills. 

 

COMPUTER SKILLS  

  • Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding new technologies. 

  • Intermediate MS Office Skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT  

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
