Hiring Unit:
Department of Psychology
Position Summary:
- Create protocols and prepare materials for various studies in the lab.
- Executes the behavioural coding for families participating in our studies
- Data proof surveys of various studies—checking for errors and eliminating data from participants who failed the attention check.
- Prepares materials (e.g., figures, pilot data) for research grant applications under the guidance of the PI
- Tracks and compiles processed data for analysis
- Contacts and schedules participants for various studies. Maintains participant spreadsheets and recontacts participants required to come in for follow-up visits.
- Pays participants and tracks participant payments
- Answers all questions participants (and parents of participants) may have with regards to our research and the study they are participating in.
- Assigns and oversees research activities of undergraduates in the lab.
- Sets agenda for lab meetings
- Administers behavioural tasks in Inquisit
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:
- Strong understanding of experimental psychology.
- Works well with others.
- Can structure time and prioritize tasks.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology
