We are seeking a Lead Technician to join our Product Development team in Lancaster, PA. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with the day-to-day supervision, training, and mentorship of technicians supporting the development of thermal products from prototypes through flight hardware.
The Lead Technician will work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to coordinate priorities, support fabrication and testing activities, maintain product quality, and help ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
· Lead and coordinate the daily work of technicians.
· Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing employee support.
· Work closely with engineers and managers to coordinate priorities, assignments, and resources.
· Fabricate, assemble, and test thermal products and supporting hardware, including brazing and soldering.
· Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality.
· Support the development of fabrication, testing, and work procedures.
· Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, quality, and team effectiveness.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following company, quality, and ITAR/export-control requirements.
Requirements
· Associate degree in a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong technical and fabrication skills with basic electrical knowledge.
· Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
· Demonstrated leadership ability and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
· Previous supervisory or training experience is a plus.
