Project & Development Services

What this job involves:

• Assist in preparation of cost plans including taking off quantities and pricing for projects.
• Confer with engineers, architects, designers and owners on changes and adjustments to cost plans
• Advising clients on procurement strategies
• Support the pre-qualification process and evaluation of contractors
• Assist in preparation of tender documents, including compiling Bills of Quantities/ Schedule of Works, Schedule of Rates, and managing the tender process.
• Compare tender returns and support clients in negotiating pricing with contractors and subcontractors
• Evaluate contract and administer contracts on behalf of clients, including valuations, variations and final accounts
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, design consultants and contractors.
• Certify final payment claims and prepare cost reports, including finalisation of the account, for client sign-off
• Provide cost advisory support to clients across all project stages, from feasibility through to final account.
• Thrive under pressure and deal effectively with tight deadlines and high expectations
• Any other duties as assigned.

To apply you need to be:

We employ talent from a wide range of backgrounds, though typically you should have:

• A degree or diploma in a relevant field (QS/Engineering), and/or up to five years’ experience (CM/QS); up to eight years’ experience (SQS) in a similar QS/Cost Consultancy position.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Have good experience in the pre-construction as well as the construction phase of projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technologically savvy
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Attention to detail
• A great communicator with superb organizational skills
• A structured and organized approach with an eye for detail is also crucial, as is being tech-savvy.
• We use a range of technology platforms to support and deliver our projects for clients.
• We achieve our biggest success when working together, so clear communication is key, as is collaboration and team work.
