This mindset goes beyond our customer solutions. It’s the foundation for your career development, the impact we make within our communities, and the meaningful work we deliver every day to support the UK's defence and security.
This Is More Than Just a Job. It’s a Mission.

Working as part of our Engineering team, you will contribute to the verification, validation, integration and acceptance of advanced hardware and software solutions that underpin national security.
This is a varied and rewarding opportunity where you will work across the systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring requirements are met, risks are managed, and solutions perform as intended. From supporting specialist hardware testing programmes to contributing to acceptance activities and technical reviews, your work will directly influence the successful delivery of mission-critical capabilities.
You'll collaborate with experienced systems, software and electrical engineers, gaining exposure to cutting-edge technologies and large-scale defence programmes while continuing to develop your own technical expertise.
A message from the team:
"My purpose is to lead, coach and mentor the application of Verification & Validation across our engineering programmes, championing best practice and ensuring our teams have the capability needed to build the right product and build it correctly."
What You'll Be Doing
- Apply Verification & Validation (V&V), Integration, Verification, Validation, Test, Quality and Acceptance (IVVTQA) principles throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Plan, coordinate and support hardware testing activities, including testing at specialist external test facilities.
- Produce and maintain key technical documentation, including test procedures, verification compliance records and test reports.
- Support the integration, verification and acceptance of electrical subsystems, ensuring compliance against customer and system requirements.
- Participate in technical reviews, test readiness reviews (TRRs), risk assessments, change impact assessments and design reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement of verification, validation and testing processes using recognised industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from people who can bring a combination of the following:
- Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering verification and validation activities across the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Understanding of systems engineering methodologies and standards, including ISO 15288, ISO 29119 and/or INCOSE frameworks.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles to support test assurance and requirement compliance activities.
- Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and regression test management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and produce clear technical documentation.
Experience supporting software verification and validation activities within complex engineering environments would be beneficial.
We know that some candidates may not meet every requirement listed. If you're excited about this opportunity and believe you can contribute to our team, we'd encourage you to apply.
