Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and medical histories.
• Build and maintain strong doctor-patient relationships rooted in respect, empathy, and trust while addressing their individual health concerns.
• Conduct comprehensive medical examinations, review health histories, and order diagnostic tests and imaging as needed.
• Prescribe medication, therapies, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique healthcare needs.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Respond to medical emergencies and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and regulations to provide evidence-based care.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all laws and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Specialized training as a General Practitioner, including significant experience in primary care or family medicine.
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Day-to-day

• Conduct patient appointments to address a variety of health concerns, from acute illnesses to chronic disease management.
• Perform routine health screenings, vaccinations, and check-ups.
• Review and analyze patients’ medical histories, diagnostic test results, and imaging to inform treatment plans.
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with specialists to refer patients for advanced treatments if required.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions with healthcare staff.
• Advocate for preventative care measures, including routine screenings and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Stay updated on medical advancements by attending continuing professional development sessions, workshops, or conferences.
