Responsibilities

- Prescribe medication and develop tailored healthcare plans in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
- Encourage preventive healthcare practices, including promoting screenings, vaccinations, and wellness education.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) while following privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare providers as necessary, ensuring continuity of care.
- Stay abreast of advancements in medical practice, technology, and public health developments.
- Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare, tailoring care to meet the needs of individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and demographic backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a General Practice residency program recognized by the relevant medical council in the country of practice.
- Licensed to practice as a General Practitioner/Specialist
- Proven ability to diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions.
- Exceptional listening, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on patient engagement.
- Commitment to inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining a safe and equitable care environment for patients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a varied caseload effectively.

Day-to-day
- Conduct patient consultations in-person or via telemedicine, addressing diverse health concerns and symptoms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with patients based on trust, transparency, and respect.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, nutritionists, mental health professionals, and administrators to facilitate optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families on health management, lifestyle choices, and disease prevention strategies.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions to continuously improve clinical expertise.
- Respond to urgent medical cases and emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Support health promotion initiatives, such as community outreach programs.
