We believe in building partnerships that secure commerce and doing that requires fostering an engaged culture that values people with diverse backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives. We build a sense of belonging, so all employees feel respected, safe, and valued, and we provide equal opportunity to participate and grow.

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Branch Trainer to join our team in Ontario. Reporting to the Operational Training Lead or designated Special Operational Trainer, and Branch Manager, the Branch Trainer will facilitate employee training including firearms, use of force, operational, leadership, and other specialized skills for both current and new hires (drivers, guards, messengers, supervisors, branch managers) and perform other designated training and compliance functions as required.

The Branch Trainer will support the management of branch firearms, Authorization to Carry, and Security licensing processes to ensure employees maintain all required licenses and authorizations. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide all required training for the assigned branch, with planned travel as needed to support regional training requirements.

  • Train employees and monitor branch schedules and maintain operational / firearms training compliance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain training records in the appropriate system, provide status updates, and escalate instances of training non-compliance to management.

  • Report any operational or firearm compliance deviations or violations.

  • Participating in safety and training meetings as needed to promote safety awareness and reinforce safe behaviors across the business.

Performance Metrics & Accountability

  • Responsible for providing training to eligible employees to ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations, as well as customer- or job-specific training requirements (e.g., WVHP, AML, ATC, security licenses, and permits).

  • Conduct routine firearms inventory audits and functional assessments to ensure accuracy of the federal firearms and internal databases.

  • Assist with pre-hire Firearms Assessments and in-vehicle Road Evaluations.

  • Conduct street inspections to ensure compliance with company policy and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Update employee training records in Workday with operational and firearm documentation (e.g., tests, certificates, permits, and licenses) as soon as it becomes available.

  • Assist with future quarterly mock audits to help reduce compliance risk related to permits and vests.

  • Assist with the trainer certification process for newly identified coaches and ensure each newly appointed coach is trained on coach responsibilities and approved documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a trainer and or field related industry.

  • Familiar with Brink’s training requirements and willing to learn the Workday learning management system

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and meet daily operations and commitments.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable training strategies.
