Responsibilities
Summary
The Trainer’s role is to provide continuous improvement of program personnel skill and acumen as it pertains to their specific program role. The Trainer equips employees with the requisite knowledge, skills, techniques, and motivation to perform at the highest level. Our Trainer is a teacher and must be able to speak in front of a crowd, develop training materials for both internal and external teams, and collaborate closely with business leaders to assess employees’ increased performance improvement. The Trainer must be strategic rather than reactive, assessing the skills and knowledge within MarketSource to determine the curriculum required to strengthen and retain these skills.
Essential Job Functions:
- Deliver soft skills, leadership, sales, and interpersonal training to designated employees
- Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout various programs to customize training
- Identify activities to incorporate into facilitator-led learning
- Customize training activities and materials, as well as modify curriculum for specific program’s needs
- Manage continuous improvement of employee job skills and acumen through training from program launch to continuous improvement
- Identify program required skills and acumen through job analysis, appraisal, and regular consultation with business leaders
- Design and implement new hire training schedule (position centric) that addresses all aspects of the Program’s method of operation and product portfolio
- Manage a calendar that is at least one quarter in advance and train on the following general topics: New Product Introduction;
- Product Familiarity; Sales Skills; Process; One on One; Vendors; Open Discussions; Product Q&A
- Conduct biannual skills assessment to gauge effectiveness of training and draw focus on areas that need improvement
- Design and implement client-focused training curriculums, integrating the Program to assist management with business development and lead generation efforts
- Utilize new product introductions as a platform from which to raise awareness of the Program within the client organization
- Provide subject matter expertise to assist with system designs
- Leverage multi-media to enhance the medium for delivering training on a recurring basis, including adding voice-overs for e-learning and video content
- Build and maintain productive relationships with program management
Qualifications

- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills

- Action and detail oriented; able to prioritize while handling multiple tasks
- Quick and strong decision-making skills in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Creative Cloud, Video Editing and document creation software.
- Excellent presentation skills and articulate presenter
- Flexible and deadline driven
- Ability to proof-read and edit content
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- 2+ years’ experience in similar role
- ATD Training Certificate a plus
- Prior experience facilitating blended learning
- Ability to work in-person and virtually
- 75% travel; 2-3 weeks per month
