Job Description

As a Security Officer Secure Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This is a driving post. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, credential checks, and entry and exit screening at the location.
• Monitor entry points, visitor logs, vehicle access activity, and restricted area authorizations to help support security-related policies and account for authorized movement throughout the site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify suspicious activity, unsecured conditions, and/or policy violations.
• Prepare clear reports on access activity, incidents, and daily observations, and help support compliance with site rules in a chemical and petrochemical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• One or more years of law enforcement experience, or two or more years of security supervisor and/or manager experience, or three or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
