Job Summary
The Undergraduate Research Assistant will work under the supervision of Dr. Ke Yang and assist with research projects in intelligent engineering systems, autonomous technologies, reliability engineering, and artificial intelligence. Students will participate in hands-on research activities, data analysis, experimental validation, and technical documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with data collection, preprocessing, and management.
Conduct literature reviews and summarize technical papers.
Assist with programming, simulation, or AI model implementation (depending on background).
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and research documentation.
Participate in regular research meetings.
Perform other research-related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester.
Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0.
Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
Interest in engineering research.
Preferred Experience and Education

Position requires on campus, face-to-face interactions.

Subject to funding and/or need.
Pay of Rate: $12.50/hour for up to 10 hours weekly
