Summary: This role focuses on proactively selling the company’s solutions (SaaS, Services & Managed Services) to qualified prospects, with the goal of expanding our customer base and increasing revenue through strategic sales efforts.
Job Description:
- Prospecting: Lead efforts to identify and engage potential clients through targeted outreach, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and secure multimodal, multiservice business opportunities
- Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through various channels, including cold outreach, LinkedIn, industry trade shows, networking events, and referrals
- Client Engagement: Conduct in-depth research to understand prospective clients’ needs and tailor sales approaches to meet their specific requirements
- Value Proposition Presentation: Present the company’s value proposition effectively, showcasing our products and services through compelling presentations and demonstrations
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives, to understand their business challenges and position the company as their solution provider
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations with potential clients, securing mutually beneficial agreements that align with the company’s strategic goals
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (operations, pricing, account management) to ensure seamless transitions from prospecting to client onboarding
- Salesforce Management: Utilize Salesforce to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and report on sales activities and forecasts
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to adapt strategies and identify new business opportunities
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales and business development, with a focus on Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain technology solutions and/or services
- Experience working with companies in markets such as food/beverage, manufacturing, consumer goods, or wholesale/distribution is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the transportation industry (TL, LTL and/or Parcel)
- At least 3 years of Direct Sales and/or Business Development experience
