Team Lead

Job Description:

Responsible for leading and coaching manufacturing team to manage production processes.  Team Leader must lead by example in the area of safety, 5S compliance, quality, and productivity initiatives while also fulfilling the assigned duties of a direct labor associate.  

Core Responsibilities:

• Operates assigned equipment which may include material handling
• Must support and lead safety and quality initiatives
• Must maintain production measurements (i.e., PPH, Mix Yield %)
• Ensure kanban compliance by their team members
• Must understand and apply the 5S philosophy and ensure all housekeeping assignments are completed per shift
• React to equipment and maintenance issues
• Help to minimize any downtime by assisting in troubleshooting and repairs
• Safety and PPE enforcement
• Determining best use of labor during periods of downtime
• Open communication with their Supervisor/PC to communicate any issues or concerns  beyond their responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. continuously.

• Must be willing to be the point of contact for your assigned area or shift
• Must have successful and demonstrated track record of building positive relationships with and between production personnel
• Excellent attendance
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Requires strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Must be a team player who possess an excellent attitude
• Must be customer focused and goal oriented
