Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $15.10 - $22.69/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Automotive auctions move fast — and as an Auction Support Specialist I, you’ll make sure every detail is captured with precision. Working on-site at a local Cox Automotive location, you’ll support live auction operations by tracking bids, verifying vehicle and customer information and processing transactions in real time. Part time position: Approximately 15-20 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday schedule)

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll keep auction sales accurate, organized and on track. You will:

• Enter lane and Simulcast bid amounts, customer data, sold units and sale lights using the AS400 system.
• Partner with the auctioneer virtually to confirm vehicle and sale information is accurate.
• Verify run orders to ensure the correct vehicles are being processed and sold.
• Monitor Simulcast activity and communicate live updates with the auctioneer.
• Provide arbitration notes and other key vehicle announcements to support the auctioneer during the sales.
• Follow up on late titles via phone and email.
• Support title-absent processing using Salesforce.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are 

You’re detail-oriented, steady under pressure and comfortable working in environments where both accuracy and timing are key. You also have the following:

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Generally, less than 2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous block clerk experience
• Auction experience
• Automotive industry experience 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, talk and hear
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

This role may involve occasional exposure to fumes, odors and varying weather conditions.
