Job Description
Acciona are currently looking for Project Engineers with Infrastructure experience for Metro and Regional projects.
ACCIONA delivers complex civil, transport and water infrastructure across metropolitan and regional Victoria. Our teams work on large multi discipline programs involving rail, roads, structures and water assets. These projects improve connectivity, resilience and liveability for communities across the state. We partner with clients and industry to apply technical expertise and sustainable construction practices.
About the Opportunity
As a Project Engineer, you will deliver work packages on ACCIONA projects across metro and regional Victoria. You will work with site teams, subcontractors, designers and the client to keep delivery safe, on program and within budget. You will resolve technical issues, track progress and report on cost, quality and safety. You will see how major infrastructure comes together, from planning through to construction, and build your technical and commercial skills on real projects. Your base is South Melbourne, with project work across the state.
What are the key accountabilities for the position?
- Deliver assigned work packages safely, to program and budget
- Coordinate design, procurement and site interfaces
- Manage subcontractors and monitor their progress and quality
- Resolve technical queries and delivery risks with project teams
- Monitor safety, quality and environmental requirements on site
- Prepare progress and cost reports for the project team
Required Skills and Competencies
- You will have a tertiary education in civil engineering, construction or similar.
- Advanced programming & planning skills
- Experience in detailed planning of local roads with traffic signals
- Experience in planning in confined spaces.
- Excellent commercial acumen with confidence in managing contracts and forecasting
- Advanced communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients
