Ready to lead one of Melbourne’s most unique riverside venues? Yarra Botanica is looking for an experienced Venue Manager to take the helm of our two-level floating bar and eatery in the heart of Southbank.
With an all-local lineup of seasonal food and drinks, spectacular city views and a lively atmosphere, this is an opportunity to lead a standout venue and build on its strong foundations.
About the role
You’ll take ownership of daily operations, lead a passionate team and drive commercial performance while keeping the guest experience at the centre of everything you do.
- Deliver smooth, high-quality service in a fast-paced environment
- Drive sales and profitability through strong financial management
- Manage budgets, labour, stock and operating costs
- Recruit, coach and develop your leadership and venue teams
- Build a positive team culture and lead from the front
- Maintain high standards of presentation, safety and compliance
- Work with the wider teams on promotions, events and opportunities to grow the business
About you
You’re an experienced Venue Manager or senior hospitality operator who brings energy, commercial awareness and a hands-on approach. You know how to balance a busy service with the bigger picture, develop your people and bring the fun while keeping standards high.
You’ll also bring:
- Experience managing a high-volume food and beverage venue
- Confidence overseeing P&L performance and delivering results
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- A passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Relevant Victorian liquor licensing qualifications
- Availability across evenings, weekends and public holidays
