Enable the CEO of the LEGO Group to focus on the priorities that matter most by providing trusted executive partnership and leading a high-performing Executive Support Team. The role brings together people leadership, operational excellence, and seamless coordination across the CEO Office and Executive Leadership Team.
Success in this role means that the CEO’s time and attention are consistently directed toward the highest-value priorities; Executive Leadership Team and governance activities are well prepared and followed through; and the Executive Support Team operates with clear standards, strong collaboration, and a sustainable talent pipeline. This role reports directly to the CEO of the LEGO Group and leads a team of 14 individuals.
Core Responsibilities:
- CEO Partnership & Executive Prioritization: Act as a trusted partner to the CEO, enabling effective prioritization, planning, preparation, and follow-through by anticipating needs, surfacing relevant context, and helping the CEO stay focused on the most important priorities.
- Governance & ELT Coordination: Coordinate and continuously improve the CEO Office operating cadence, Executive Leadership Team meetings, and Board and Committee preparation and follow-up, ensuring clear ownership, smooth handoffs, and timely execution. Coordinate the support team around the CEO, including People, Strategy, Communication Partners, as well as non-executive leadership team direct reports.
- CEO Support: Manage and optimize the CEO’s calendar, communications, and stakeholder engagement, independently representing the CEO in selected interactions while ensuring seamless prioritization, preparation, decision support, and follow-through on key business priorities.
- Leadership of Executive Support Team: Lead, develop, and inspire the Executive Support Team, made up of Sr. Executive Assistants supporting Executive Leadership Team members. Set clear standards for executive support, strengthen capability and consistency across the team, and build a healthy succession pipeline for the function.
- Business Understanding & Organizational Awareness: Bring strong business understanding and organizational awareness to help the CEO and Executive Leadership Team stay focused, informed, and well prepared, while recognizing cross-functional dependencies and sensitive stakeholder dynamics.
- Stakeholder Management & Executive Influence: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, Board members, and external stakeholders; act as a key interface between the CEO and the wider organization.
- Future Readiness & Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement, including the thoughtful use of digital tools and AI-enabled ways of working, to strengthen executive support, improve team effectiveness, and keep the function future-ready.
Required experience and capabilities:
- preference for Danish speaker, professional fluency in English is required).
- Extensive experience supporting C-suite executives, preferably a CEO or equivalent, in a large, complex, global organization.
- Proven leadership experience leading, developing a high-performing team of executive support professionals, including setting standards, managing performance, building capability, and planning for succession. Demonstrated executive presence, discretion, and sound judgment, with experience handling highly confidential and sensitive matters.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at the most senior levels, including Boards, Executive Leadership Teams, and external stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating across cross-functional partners to deliver aligned executive support, governance preparation, and timely follow-up.
- Proven track record driving operational excellence and continuous improvement by shaping ways of working, governance practices, and support processes at scale.
- Experience working with Board and Committee governance processes, including preparation, coordination, and follow-up, in a complex organizational environment.
- Can operate at both the strategic and operational level, working independently and creating clarity when direction or context is limited.
- Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, Executive Business Partner, or Head of Executive Office role.
- Experience within a global and purpose-driven organization.
- Experience working across cultures and time zones.
- Experience championing digital tools or AI-enabled ways of working to improve quality, efficiency, and impact.
