Technical Sales Representative

Applied Industrial Technologies LP, is a group of industrial distribution companies located throughout Canada. We have an immediate opening for a motivated, focused, high energy individual to fill the role of Technical Sales Representative for the Timmins, ON/Val D’Or, QC regions.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for new business development as well as maintaining existing territory
• Prospect for new customers, set appointments and demonstrate product benefits
• Work with management to develop sales strategies and new business prospects
• Respond to customer product inquiries
• Engage in direct sales activities
• Promote existing and new products- anticipate client direction and objectives
• Effectively manage a sales territory
• Maintain cooperative and productive team relationships
• Attend training and sales meetings as required
• Meet or exceed sales targets

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience of sales type position in the industry market
• Preference will be given to individuals that show mechanical aptitude and have experience in industrial type sales; hydraulic, bearing and/or power transmission
• Be sales and service oriented
• Preference will be given to individuals with CRM experience
• Conduct themselves in a professional manner
• Have good organizational skills
• Ability to prospect for new clients
• Maintain customer relations and build new relationships
• Analytical and problem solving capability
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be able to build relationships with inside sales force
• Proven ability to work in a team environment
• Self motivated and the ability to work independently
• Deliver on growth and profitability
• Meet or exceed annual sales goals
