Role: Statutory Accountant
Location: Hybrid from Warsaw, Krakow, or Wroclaw
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and preparing recurring entries (accrual, posting of local bank entries)
- Month-end report and download of data
- Preparing set of financials for national statistic reporting to local government bodies
- Analysis and queries on variances during monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews
- Driving audit and responding to audit queries
- Investigation of anomalies or unusual entries
- Use of SAP and peripheral systems
- Collaboration with country lead, tax teams, and international colleagues
- Monitoring of equity, request, and presentation of capital request BS monitoring
Requirements:
- Excellent English is critical (min. B2)
- Accounting qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role
- Very good independence and self-motivation in a fully remote environment
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with SAP or other financial systems is a plus
- Curious and capable of questioning the status quo
