The Financial Planning & Operations team sits at the heart of Global Finance, helping shape better business decisions through robust planning, forecasting, and performance insights. We partner with teams across markets and regions to deliver the financial plans that drive Diageo's strategy and support sustainable growth.
About the Role
As a Lead Analyst, Planning, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality financial planning across assigned markets and regions. You'll partner with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure planning activities are executed efficiently, consistently, and in line with global standards, while driving continuous improvement across planning processes.
This role offers the opportunity to influence how planning is delivered globally by combining analytical expertise, business partnering, and process improvement. You'll contribute to transformation initiatives, support the adoption of new planning capabilities, and help deliver the insights that enable better business decisions.
Lead planning and forecasting activities for assigned markets or regions or categories, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve planning issues, and drive planning excellence.
See opportunities to simplify and optimize planning processes, supporting continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
Deliver planning analysis and insights that support business performance and decision-making.
Contribute to systems enhancements, process standardization, and the adoption of global planning solutions.
Collaborate across teams to share best practices and improve the overall planning experience.
About You
You're an experienced finance professional who enjoys solving problems, building strong stakeholder relationships, and continuously improving the way planning is delivered. You combine analytical thinking with a collaborative approach and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment.
A university degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
4–6 years of experience in FP&A, financial planning, forecasting, or business performance management.
Strong understanding of planning processes and finance systems.
Experience supporting process improvement or transformation initiatives.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaborator management skills.
The ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies in a global matrix environment.
A continuous improvement approach with a passion for simplifying processes and driving operational excellence.
Fluent written and spoken English.
