Description
Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday You'll support the delivery of our Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), ensuring the business can continue to serve customers, protect critical operations, and recover effectively from disruption. Working with both teams across the organisation and external suppliers, you'll help shape a culture of resilience while contributing to one of the UK's most ambitious connectivity transformation programmes. Coordination of business continuity testing and validation activities, ensuring plans are regularly exercised, lessons are learned, and improvement actions are completed. You'll assess the resilience capabilities of critical suppliers, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving corrective actions where needed. You'll provide timely responses to customer business continuity requests and enquiries. Acting as an on-call Crisis Duty Manager, supporting incident assessment, response planning, escalation activities, and crisis management events, including out-of-hours incidents when required. You'll influence stakeholders across the business, helping to embed resilience best practices and strengthen organisational preparedness. You'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring resilience frameworks, controls, and processes remain effective in a rapidly evolving environment. Extensive experience in Business Continuity Management, Resilience, Crisis Management, Risk Management, or a related discipline. Certification or experience in CBCI, ISO22301 Lead Implementer, or equivalent is an advantage. Demonstrable experience in building trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes through collaboration, negotiation and strategic alignment. Experience developing, maintaining, testing, or improving business continuity plans and resilience frameworks. A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively and escalate risks when required. Strong planning, prioritisation, and delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with suppliers, partners, or third parties to improve resilience and operational effectiveness. Excellent communication, collaborative and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a wide range of audiences. A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for strengthening organisational resilience.
