Commercial Installation Technician
Scope of Responsibility:
The Commercial Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining commercial systems, including working with mechanical and electrical components. This role demands a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is eager to advance their career within the company.
Specific Duties/Accountabilities:
- Install commercial systems and related equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and other documents related to installations.
- Perform regular service and maintenance of commercial units, ensuring optimal performance.
- Be safety-conscious by adhering to OSHA guidelines and practicing proper safety protocols on all job sites.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.
- Improve installation and brazing techniques continually to enhance efficiency and quality of work.
- Maintain strong customer relationships by providing clear, friendly, and professional communication.
- Stay up to date on services and solutions offered by the company.
- Work diligently to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
Basic Qualifications:
- General building and tool experience is required.
- Ability to travel out of town and work nights when needed.
- Commercial and/or supermarket refrigeration experience is preferred.
- Brazing experience is preferred.
- Strong desire to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities.
- Willingness to perform all aspects of supermarket installation.
- A certificate from a technical or trade school is a plus.
- Must be willing to obtain a chauffeur’s license if not already held.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work at high elevations and climb ladders safely.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Additional Skills:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Outstanding customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction at all stages of the project.
