Position Overview:
We are looking for a Thermal Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead projects from concept to completion, design and develop components using SolidWorks, devise and conduct experiments, analyze results, and prepare technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and project leads to understand product requirements and develop cost-effective, innovative solutions.
- Design and develop thermal and mechanical components to meet customer specifications.
- Create 3D models, detailed parts, assemblies, inspection drawings, and product travelers using SolidWorks.
- Design products aligned with our manufacturing capabilities and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Procure materials, place purchase orders, issue manufacturing work orders, and coordinate delivery schedules with vendors.
- Develop laboratory test plans to validate key product characteristics and compliance with customer requirements.
- Analyze experimental data to enhance product performance and functionality.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
- Experience creating 3D models and drawings with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- 5+ years of research experience.
- Experience designing and conducting thermofluids experiments in laboratory environments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations such as CNC milling, turning, TIG welding, and laser welding.
- Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with data acquisition and test automation, including tools like LabVIEW.
