What we are looking for:
Under the supervision of the Senior Investment Counsellor and Head of Private Wealth Western Canada, the Associate is primarily responsible for providing a very high quality, personalized service to our private wealth clients and supporting portfolio management and investment management activities as well as the business development of private Investment Counsellors. As a member of the private wealth service team, the incumbent will also be asked to assist other team members in their tasks.
Your responsibilities:
Client Servicing Support
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients becoming the “go to” person for account specific information, which can include portfolio investment performance, providing reports and clarifications to client’s accountant and custodian, cash contributions/withdrawals, coordination with other departments (trading, billing, compliance, etc.)
• Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients and the maintenance of existing client accounts and records
• Support Investment Counsellors with all on-going sales, service and communication with clients and prospects while ensuring that all reports and documents presented reflect information that is both complete and of the highest quality and are produced within the required timelines
• Collaborate with other team members in joint projects (business development, special events, process improvement, etc.)
Portfolio Management Support
• Execute transactions requested by Investment Counsellor
• Support Investment Counsellor with the preparation of Investment Policy Statement for clients
• Review client statement packages for each reporting cycle
• Coordinate and send compliance documents and disclosures
Administration
• Record and update client contacts and other related information in the CRM system
• Coordinate various administrative tasks and ensure appropriate follow up
• Provide general administrative support for the Investment Counsellors
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce or related field
• Enrollment or completion of IFIC/ CSC is an asset
• One (1) to five (5) years of relevant experience in a client service or portfolio administration support function
• Previous experience within the financial services industry
• General knowledge of the investment industry and financial markets
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service
• Results-oriented, ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently but also willing to collaborate as a team
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Proficiency with Salesforce would be considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

For roles based in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in spoken and written French is required. A working knowledge of English is also necessary to collaborate with our global teams and clients.
