You will be responsible to:

Has oversight of the accounting, financial reporting and tax functions of the area. Enables statutory compliance and sets the framework for performance measurement, at a group level.

 

- Conduct tasks to administer the general ledger under responsibility, elaborating financial statements

- Estimate taxes and tax returns

- Allocate expenses in accordance with guidelines set, matching theses expenses with corresponding budget accounts

- Register any other posting as needed (credit, debit)

- Verify and approve employee expenses

- Administer inter-company transactions in a timely manner

- Process month-end transactions (accruals, pre-payments, settlements)

- Follow-up CAPEX and participate in the approval flow of assets requisitions

- Guarantees month end accounting valuations (FX, Inventory, …)

- Participate in annual financial audits, liaising with external auditors

- Submit periodical financial information to governmental entities

- Ensure all assigned tasks are properly planned and delivered on time, safely, efficiently, reliably and in a cost-effective manner

- Propose improvements to the area as appropriate and solve problems

- Make quality and timely decisions within the accounting tasks under her / his responsibility

- Gather relevant data to inform the decision makers regarding complex issues

- Execute professional activities in compliance with GMP and HSE guidelines, internal and external requirements as well as promote the implementation and maintenance of Hovione´s policies, systems and procedures (COPs, HBR, SOPs and others)

- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with environmental, health & safety rules/procedures, regulations and codes of practice

We are looking to recruit a Candidate:

- University, or equivalent, qualification in Accounting, Finance or similar field (mandatory)

- Qualified accountant

- Typically requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting activities

- Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting concepts and processes

- Knowledge of CRM, SAP, PDS, BO

- Fluency in English is a requirement

- Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package

- Must have the Knowledge, Experience and Skills to conduct their tasks in accordance with the rules and procedures set down
