Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Lancashire to assist with the appointment of a Customer Service Assistant, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.63 - £17.73 per hour
Summary:
A Customer Service Assistant is required to provide an efficient and professional first point of contact for customers of West Lancashire Borough Council. The role involves handling face-to-face, telephone and electronic enquiries, resolving customer issues and supporting customers across Council services.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries.
- Handle telephone, face-to-face and electronic queries.
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Provide customer service from Ormskirk and Skelmersdale.
- Liaise with Council teams, management and external organisations.
Essential Requirements:
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience handling telephone, face-to-face and electronic enquiries.
- Ability to resolve customer queries and problems effectively.
- Professional approach with strong teamworking skills.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Basic DBS
